Camping at Moon Lake Group Campground near Duchesne

Public campground · Duchesne · 2 campsites · 2 group

A forested campground near trout fishing, hiking, and mountain biking.

About this campground

Moon Lake Group Campground sits on the shore of Moon Lake on the southern flank of the Uinta Mountains at about 8,100 feet, where stands of lodgepole pine and pockets of aspen cast partial shade over the water's edge. The lake is the campground's focal point: canoeing and small-boat paddling are common, and anglers come for rainbow and cutthroat trout as well as Kokanee salmon and splake.

“It was great! Thanks for grading the road. We could tell you had pushed back the trailer spaces. Thank you again.”

Maureen K 4 · Jun 2023 · Recreation.gov

“Nice to have the whole group site, dogs could play together without bothering others, access to the lodge and beach still great. Bathrooms maintained daily. No complaints. ”

Brandon T 5 · Jul 2022 · Recreation.gov

“Very nice location. Even with all the fire devastation, the campground was very nice. ”
