Available Nov 13–15 · 2 nights25 sites open for every nightA forested campground near trout fishing, and hiking. Most campsites have no hookups.
Access is along South Willow Canyon Road, a mostly paved, scenic drive that turns to gravel near the National Forest boundary; the road's last 4 miles are unpaved, relatively steep and narrow, and pitted in places, so it's not recommended for trailers even though most vehicles can make the route. Intake is one of five Forest Service campgrounds along the road, and seasonal conditions matter: snow commonly lingers on upper sections from November through mid-June, and the upper end of the road reaches about 7,470 feet at the Deseret Peak Trailhead.

Length limits vary by campsite.

“Quiet and largely off the beaten path. Minimal traffic noise with campsites along the creek. Vault toilet was extremely stinky--more than expected for an outdoor toilet.”

For July weekends, book about 122 days ahead. Three in four July Friday and Saturday arrivals were booked later than that, and half were booked 48 days or less before arrival. Past timing is guidance, not a guarantee of what is open now.

Months with fewer than 30 reservations of that kind are left blank. Sites where nearly every booking was made the day of arrival (pay on arrival) are left out. Closed seasons, windows not yet released for booking, and currently unavailable nights are separate from this history.
Based on Recreation.gov reservations, FY2015–2025 (382 reservations in the years scored). Counts reservations made, not nights actually camped: cancellations aren't in the data, and nights a site was closed count as not booked. FY2020–21 (COVID) are left out of the scores.
