A forested campground near hiking. Most campsites have no hookups.

About this campground

White House Campground sits about 43 miles east of Kanab, Utah, at the end of Monument Road 751, roughly two miles south of Highway 89 and the Paria Contact Station. The site occupies a broad valley between the Paria River and white-grey sandstone buttes, and its compact footprint reflects its role as a trailhead and staging area for the Paria Canyon Vermilion Cliffs Wilderness.

“Did it find a water source but did not spend long looking. Real convenient camp site for wave, buck skin gulch, wire pass, toadstools, paria canyon, and numerous arches. The location makes this a desired camp site.”

Dan H 5 · May 2025 · Recreation.gov

“Spotty Verizon signal. Beautiful campground. The electronic pay station is an excellent idea. ”

Thanh H 5 · Nov 2024 · Recreation.gov

“Beautiful place! Although campsites are close to each other, it was nearly empty, so very quiet. Easy to pay the camping fee at kiosk.”
