Camping at Marble Creek Campground

Public campground · 27 campsites · 1 group

A forested campground near fishing, and hiking. Most campsites have no hookups, and RV fit varies by site.

About this campground

The surrounding public lands open up a wide range of outdoor experiences year-round: in summer and early fall you'll find hiking, fishing, picnicking and horseback riding access, while winter brings opportunities for skiing and snowshoeing. Several trailheads near Marblemount give overnight backpackers routes into alpine meadows and granite slabs the Hidden Lake Trail climbs out of forest to open views where Hidden Lake and the lookout sit beneath patches of alpine fir.

“Clean sites that all had pretty good privacy. Theres a little trail near spot 9 down to the water. We stayed in spot 14 & really liked that one. ”

Jerra H 5 · Oct 2025 · Recreation.gov

“The campground is truly lovely. Our campsite was private and quiet. The tent pad was sand and very comfortable. There are some pretty places to stroll along the river. On-line registration was easy.”

How far ahead to book Marble Creek Campground

For August weekends, book about 181 days ahead. Three in four August Friday and Saturday arrivals were booked later than that, and half were booked 169 days or less before arrival. Past timing is guidance, not a guarantee of what is open now.

Months with fewer than 30 reservations of that kind are left blank. Sites where nearly every booking was made the day of arrival (pay on arrival) are left out. Closed seasons, windows not yet released for booking, and currently unavailable nights are separate from this history.

Based on Recreation.gov reservations, FY2015–2025 (6,716 reservations in the years scored). Counts reservations made, not nights actually camped: cancellations aren't in the data, and nights a site was closed count as not booked. FY2020–21 (COVID) are left out of the scores.
