First come, first servedA forested campground near fishing, hiking, and mountain biking. Most campsites have no hookups, and RV fit varies by site.
Indian Creek Campground sits at about 7,300 feet on the lower slopes of the Gallatin Mountains, roughly eight miles south of Mammoth Hot Springs on the road toward Norris and about thirteen miles from the North Entrance at Gardiner. Set off the main road, the campground has a quieter, more primitive feel than many sites inside the park and frames clear views of Electric Peak.

Length limits vary by campsite.

“Great site. Site was located on north side of park so you get to see a lot of sites getting g to campsite. Campsite was very clean. Staff very professional and friendly. ”
“The campground was easy to find and close to Devil’s Tower. There was water available and a vault toilet that was clean. The biggest surprise was having cows nearby and hearing them at night. ”

For September weekends, book about 170 days ahead. Three in four September Friday and Saturday arrivals were booked later than that, and half were booked 115 days or less before arrival. Past timing is guidance, not a guarantee of what is open now.

Months with fewer than 30 reservations of that kind are left blank. Sites where nearly every booking was made the day of arrival (pay on arrival) are left out. Closed seasons, windows not yet released for booking, and currently unavailable nights are separate from this history.
Based on Recreation.gov reservations, FY2015–2025 (13,954 reservations in the years scored). Counts reservations made, not nights actually camped: cancellations aren't in the data, and nights a site was closed count as not booked. FY2020–21 (COVID) are left out of the scores.
