Camping at Mcdougal Lake Campground near Isabella

Public campground · Isabella · 21 campsites

A forested campground near fishing, and hiking. Most campsites have no hookups.

About this campground

McDougal Lake Campground sits on the western side of Isabella, reached via Forest Road 106 about 10 miles out of town, and offers a quiet, wood-framed base for paddling, angling and simple lakeside swimming in the central part of Superior National Forest. The campground fronts a 323-acre lake ringed in birch, maple and pine at roughly 1,800 feet elevation; a sandy swimming beach, a boat ramp and shoreline access make it easy to spend an afternoon on the water pursuing walleye and northern pike or watching waterfowl and other wildlife that frequent the wild rice beds.
