About this campground
Uinta River Group sits roughly 25 miles north of Roosevelt, reachable by following State Highway 121 toward Neola and then continuing on the Uinta/Ouray Reservation road onto Forest Road 118. The site occupies an open meadow at about 7,600 feet shaded by tall Ponderosa pines; summer wildflowers and regular wildlife sightings give the area a lively, high-mountain feel.
