Camping at Green Creek Group near Bridgeport

Public campground · Bridgeport · 2 campsites · 2 group

A forested campground near trout fishing, hiking, and mountain biking.

About this campground

Green Creek Group sits at roughly 7,500 feet and is about 12 miles from Bridgeport, California, reached by a short stretch of Highway 395 and then a narrow, nine-mile dirt forest road (Forest Road 142) that leads just past the trailhead parking to the campground entrance. The site is set between the creek and a rocky outcrop in a stand of tall Jeffrey pines that cast partial shade; aspens, juniper, sagebrush and summer wildflowers punctuate the meadows nearby.

“Great host. Clean restrooms. Quiet area. Adjacent to good hiking and beautiful views. While there is no water at this site, we knew that going in so it wasn’t a problem.”
