Available Nov 13–15 · 2 nights6 sites open for every nightA forested campground near trout fishing, and hiking. Most campsites have no hookups, and RV fit varies by site.
What draws people here is the immediate access to high-country trails and fishing: trailheads for Kearsarge Pass, Robinson Lake and the Golden Trout Lakes are all within easy reach for day hikes or multi-day trips into the John Muir Wilderness and over into Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks. Anglers can try for rainbow, brown, brook and Alpers trout in Robinson Lake and the nearby creek.

Length limits vary by campsite.

“Great campground for a high sierra feel with car camping convenience. Solid hikes are available to nearby lakes and Kearsarge Pass. ”
“Campsite # 2 is probably the best site as it is secluded and gives a feeling of camping in the back country. Very clean facilities, bathrooms which campers maintain with respect to other campers and hikers. The views are breathtaking! ”

Months with fewer than 30 reservations of that kind are left blank. Sites where nearly every booking was made the day of arrival (pay on arrival) are left out. Closed seasons, windows not yet released for booking, and currently unavailable nights are separate from this history.
Based on Recreation.gov reservations, FY2015–2025 (14,993 reservations in the years scored). Counts reservations made, not nights actually camped: cancellations aren't in the data, and nights a site was closed count as not booked. FY2020–21 (COVID) are left out of the scores.
