Available Nov 13–15 · 2 nights45 sites open for every nightA forested campground near trout fishing, hiking, and mountain biking. Most campsites have no hookups, and RV fit varies by site.
The recreation options at Pinecrest and around Stanislaus National Forest are wide-ranging: the Pinecrest Lake National Recreation Trail circles the lake in an easy four-mile loop, bike rentals and boat rentals are available nearby, and anglers will commonly catch rainbow trout from the lake. Camp programs and interpretive events are run from the visitor center and amphitheater in the summer, and Dodge Ridge a ski area in winter operates in summer as a base for mountain biking, hiking and disc golf.

Length limits vary by campsite.

“Absolutely loved it at Pinecrest. Brought our 26ft travel trailer and had a great time with my wife. Weather was awesome, campgrounds were quiet and clean. Easy walk to the lake. Plan on coming back many more times.”
“The campground itself was really clean and so were the bathrooms, surprisingly. Staff was not there upon entering at 2pm, but we did see one attendant the day we checked out. The lot we chose was right next to the restroom and it was super convenient. ”

Months with fewer than 30 reservations of that kind are left blank. Sites where nearly every booking was made the day of arrival (pay on arrival) are left out. Closed seasons, windows not yet released for booking, and currently unavailable nights are separate from this history.
Based on Recreation.gov reservations, FY2015–2025 (91,010 reservations in the years scored). Counts reservations made, not nights actually camped: cancellations aren't in the data, and nights a site was closed count as not booked. FY2020–21 (COVID) are left out of the scores.
